Patch from Richard Erhardt, with some additions & modifications.
Changes bevel profile shape parameter so that can get arbitrarily
near square profile as parameter -> 1.
Adds code to make profile=0 case work, at least for cube corners,
so changed hard min of profile parameter to 0 from 0.15.
You can now override loc/rot/scale of objects and posebones.
Also added a basic operator to make an override of active linked object,
but this is very limited/wip/testing feature (you have to manually override
object and its armature, and relink to proper local overrides
yourself...). Final 'make proxy killer' will be much more automated of
course.
TexFace complicates the now more popular shading pipeline by having
per-face images, see: T51382 for details.
To keep the ability to select a per-material edit-image
(used with UV-mapping workflow), the material now stores an image
which will be set when changing images in edit-mode.
This is used as a bake-target when not using Cycles too.
constraints.
This avoids traversing the archive everytime object data is needed and
gives an overall consistent ~2x speedup here with files containing
between 136 and 500 Alembic objects. Also this somewhat nicely de-
duplicates code between data creation (upon import) and data streaming
(modifiers and constraints).
The only worying part is what happens when a CacheFile is deleted and/or
has its path changed. For now, we traverse the whole scene and for each
object using the CacheFile we free the pointer and NULL-ify it (see
BKE_cachefile_clean), but at some point this should be re-considered and
make use of the dependency graph.
Never call function that might recompute a DM in an RNA itemf callback (or any UI-related func in general)!
There was an XXX comment asking if this was OK - well, no, it was not. :P
Could be ported back to some 2.78 flavour should we need it.
All in all, this patch adds an Alembic importer, an Alembic exporter,
and a new CacheFile data block which, for now, wraps around an Alembic
archive. This data block is made available through a new modifier ("Mesh
Sequence Cache") as well as a new constraint ("Transform Cache") to
somewhat properly support respectively geometric and transformation data
streaming from alembic caches.
A more in-depth documentation is to be found on the wiki, as well as a
guide to compile alembic: https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/

Many thanks to everyone involved in this little project, and huge shout
out to "cgstrive" for the thorough testings with Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini
and Realflow as well as @fjuhec, @jensverwiebe and @jasperge for the
custom builds and compile fixes.

This uses a bmesh-intersection, BLI_kdtree and watertight intersections to perform boolean operations.
For now keep both BMesh and Carve booleans usable at once for testing & bug reports,
however we plan to phase out Carve by next release.
(if they're on different properties).
This patch basically gets rid of (ui-related) hack where we was adding specific
'fake' enums for datatypes needing additional options.
That was done because of broken UI code - to summarize, 'align' code did not support
correctly layout mixing vertical and horizontal sub-layouts, in particular if
it was 'column-major'.
A complete rewrite of this align code has been done, so now we can use a more
sane UI code.
The user interface was ignoring the precision step size for degrees,
making all rotation inputs drag by a 100th of a degree.
Now use a 10th of a degree instead.
