08dbc4f996 PyAPI: use postponed annotations to support Python 3.10
Support Python 3.10a5 or 3.9x with support explicitly enabled.

- Enable Python's postponed annotations for Blender's RNA classes
  types registered on startup.

- Using postponed annotations has implications for how they are defined,
  since they must evaluate in the modules name-space instead of the
  classes name-space. See changes to annotations in `release/scripts`.

- Use `from __future__ import annotations` at the top of the module
  to ensure the script will run with Python 3.10.

- Old logic is kept since it could be used if PEP-649 is supported.

2d6a69ae4e Asset System: New Asset Browser editor
This introduces the User Interface part of the Asset Browser, based on the
design in T54642.

Additions:
* New Asset Browser (internally a sub-editor of the File Browser).
* Navigation region showing asset categories.
* Main region showing the assets of the selected asset library with previews.
  The assets may be stored over multiple .blends in the directory that's
  "mounted" as asset library in the Preferences. They will all be shown in this
  list.
* Header with an asset library dropdown, allowing to choose the active asset
  library to show. Options are the "Current File" as asset library and all
  custom libraries.
* Display popover, filter popover and search box (partially dummies, see
  T82680).
* Sidebar showing the metadata of the currently active file (name, preview,
  description and tags), which can be edited for assets in the "Current File"
  asset library. (For others it will reset on reload.)
* The sidebar includes a button to load a custom preview image from a file.
* Make asset files draggable (with preview image).
* If a library with invalid path is selected, a message is drawn in the main
  region to help the user understand what's wrong.
* Operators to add and remove asset tags. Exposed in the sidebar.
* "Only Assets" option for Link/Append.
* Internal utilities for asset UI scripts.

For screenshots or demo videos, please see D9725. Or the 2.92 release notes.

Note that there are many things to be tweaked and polished in the Asset Browser
UI still. For example, the filter and display popovers are mostly dummies. See
T82680.

Part of the first Asset Browser milestone. Check the #asset_browser_milestone_1

6be56c13e9 Geometry Nodes: initial scattering and geometry nodes
This is the initial merge from the geometry-nodes branch.
Nodes:
* Attribute Math
* Boolean
* Edge Split
* Float Compare
* Object Info
* Point Distribute
* Point Instance
* Random Attribute
* Random Float
* Subdivision Surface
* Transform
* Triangulate

It includes the initial evaluation of geometry node groups in the Geometry Nodes modifier.

Notes on the Generic attribute access API

The API adds an indirection for attribute access. That has the following benefits:
* Most code does not have to care about how an attribute is stored internally.
  This is mainly necessary, because we have to deal with "legacy" attributes
  such as vertex weights and attributes that are embedded into other structs
  such as vertex positions.
* When reading from an attribute, we generally don't care what domain the
  attribute is stored on. So we want to abstract away the interpolation that
  that adapts attributes from one domain to another domain (this is not
  actually implemented yet).

Other possible improvements for later iterations include:
* Actually implement interpolation between domains.
* Don't use inheritance for the different attribute types. A single class for read
  access and one for write access might be enough, because we know all the ways
  in which attributes are stored internally. We don't want more different internal
  structures in the future. On the contrary, ideally we can consolidate the different
  storage formats in the future to reduce the need for this indirection.
* Remove the need for heap allocations when creating attribute accessors.

bc7a4b126a GPencil: Convert and Bake mesh animation to grease pencil strokes
This patch adds two options:

- Convert a mesh to grease pencil strokes.
- Bake the mesh animation into grease pencil strokes.

Both are related and must be included in the same patch.

Related to tasks: T77629 and T77630

Notice: The conversion is done for mesh edges and it's not considering any visibility clipping. All edges are exported, no matters if it's visible or not.

Example of Convert a Mesh to Grease Pencil strokes:

This conversion was inspired by the technique used by @luamono in this tweet: https://twitter.com/luamono/status/1239983662176841730

Example of Bake Animation (the video is a little outdate, but the basic functionality is the same, only small changes in UI):

2b2d3c14fe Simulations: Embed simulation node tree in simulation data block
This adds an embedded node tree to the simulation data block dna.
The UI in the `Simulation Editor` has been updated to show a list
of simulation data blocks, instead of individual node trees.

The new `SpaceNodeEditor.simulation` property wraps the existing
`SpaceNodeEditor.id` property. It allows scripts to get and set
the simulation data block that is being edited.

798cdaeeb6 Implement an Armature constraint that mimics the modifier.
The main use one can imagine for this is adding tweak controls to
parts of a model that are already deformed by multiple other major
bones. It is natural to expect such locations to deform as if the
tweaks aren't there by default; however currently there is no easy
way to make a bone follow multiple other bones.

This adds a new constraint that implements the math behind the Armature
modifier, with support for explicit weights, bone envelopes, and dual
quaternion blending. It can also access bones from multiple armatures
at the same time (mainly because it's easier to code it that way.)

This also fixes dquat_to_mat4, which wasn't used anywhere before.

03dbae07d3 Mask primitives
Currently only circle and square, might be easily
extended in the future.

New primitives are creating at cursor location.
This also implied adding 2d cursor to space clip.

Also fix set 2D cursor location which didn't work

TODO: draw_image_cursor better be moved to some
      more generic file, but it's not so much
      important for now and might be solved later.

2d8637946b rigidbody: Add rigid body simulation
Add operators to add/remove rigid body world and objects.
Add UI scripts.

The rigid body simulation works on scene level and overrides the
position/orientation of rigid bodies when active.
It does not deform meshes or generate data so there is no modifier.

Usage:
* Add rigid body world in the scene tab
* Create a group
* Add objects to the group
* Assign group to the rigid body world
* Play animation
For convenience the rigid body tools operators in the tools panel of the 3d view
will add a world, group and add objects to the group automatically so you only have
to press one button to add/remove rigid bodies to the simulation.

bd3ec60651 Search option for adding nodes.
The 'Add' menu in the node editor now has an option 'Search' at the top, which opens a separate popup for searching node types by name.

The operator for this is implemented completely in Python (this could also be done for the regular menu-based Add options in the future). There are a few necessary extensions to the RNA as well:

* The View2D struct in regions is now exposed. Currently only contains converter functions for coordinates from the region to the view (i.e. scrolled and zoomed view space). Used for converting mouse location to node space.

* The SpaceNode exposes the existing 'cursor_location' for operators to store mouse position beyond invoke calls. Not used for anything else (transforms) so far.

* The edit_tree in SpaceNode is also exposed, this is needed for operators to work correctly inside node groups.

27d42c63d9 Camera tracking integration
===========================

Commiting camera tracking integration gsoc project into trunk.

This commit includes:

- Bundled version of libmv library (with some changes against official repo,
  re-sync with libmv repo a bit later)
- New datatype ID called MovieClip which is optimized to work with movie
  clips (both of movie files and image sequences) and doing camera/motion
  tracking operations.
- New editor called Clip Editor which is currently used for motion/tracking
  stuff only, but which can be easily extended to work with masks too.

  This editor supports:
  * Loading movie files/image sequences
  * Build proxies with different size for loaded movie clip, also supports
    building undistorted proxies to increase speed of playback in
    undistorted mode.
  * Manual lens distortion mode calibration using grid and grease pencil
  * Supervised 2D tracking using two different algorithms KLT and SAD.
  * Basic algorithm for feature detection
  * Camera motion solving. scene orientation

- New constraints to "link" scene objects with solved motions from clip:

  * Follow Track (make object follow 2D motion of track with given name
    or parent object to reconstructed 3D position of track)
  * Camera Solver to make camera moving in the same way as reconstructed camera

This commit NOT includes changes from tomato branch:

- New nodes (they'll be commited as separated patch)
- Automatic image offset guessing for image input node and image editor
  (need to do more tests and gather more feedback)
- Code cleanup in libmv-capi. It's not so critical cleanup, just increasing
  readability and understanadability of code. Better to make this chaneg when
  Keir will finish his current patch.

More details about this project can be found on this page:
    http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Nazg-gul/GSoC-2011

Further development of small features would be done in trunk, bigger/experimental
features would first be implemented in tomato branch.

22abd53c7e Quick effects operators:
* A couple of operators to quickly create effects that would otherwise take some time to set up.
* Nice to use for demoing functionality or as a starting point for more complex effects.
* "Make Fur" - Gives every selected mesh object particle fur with a desired density and length.
* "Make Smoke" - Makes each selected object a smoke emitter and creates a new domain object around the emitters with the correct material to render the smoke.
** Has style options for "stream": constant smoke flow, "puff": only create smoke once from the volume of the emitter object, "fire": enable high resolution smoke and set a secondary fire color texture for the domain object.
* "Make Fluid" - Makes every selected object a fluid object (normal/inflow) and has the option to start fluid baking immediately.
* This should provide a nice base for extending these / adding more operators for different effects.

16e736b7db Graph Editor: Euler Filter ported from Py to C
Ported joeedh's Euler Filter code from Python to C so that this is
more in line with the other Graph Editor tools - i.e. joeedh's version
only worked on the active bone's curves, while standard tools could
work with multiple bones/objects at the same time.

To use this new version of this operator:
1) Select all the F-Curves for all 3 of the components (XYZ) for the
euler rotations you wish to clean up. In the Graph Editor, they must
be one after the other (i.e. you can't have "RotX, RotY, something
else, RotZ")
2) Activate the operator from the Key menu in the Graph Editor

In an old test file I have floating around, this method did not appear
to be good enough to fix a very clear discontinuity in the middle of
the action, so I'll test some additional methods too
