ea2dda306c Asset system: New asset system code module (with files from BKE)
Adds a new `source/blender/asset_system` directory and moves asset
related files from BKE to it. More asset related code can follow
(e.g. asset indexing, ED_assetlist stuff) but needs further work to
untangle it. I also kept `BKE_asset.h` and `asset.cc` as is, since they
deal with asset DNA data mostly, thus make sense in BKE.

Motivation:
- Makes the asset system design more present (term wasn't even used in
  code before).
- An `asset_system` directory is quite descriptive (trivial to identify
  core asset system features) and makes it easy to find asset code.
- Asset system is mostly runtime data, with little relation to other
  `Main`/BKE/DNA types.
- There's a lot of stuff in BKE already. It shouldn't be just a dump for
  all stuff that seems core enough.
- Being its own directly helps us be more mindful about encapsulating
  the module well, and avoiding dependencies on other modules.
- We can be more free with splitting files here than in BKE.
- In future there might be an asset system BPY module, which would then
  map quite nicely to the `asset_system` directory.

Checked with some other core devs, consensus seems that this makes
sense.

a5578351c3 Auto-generate RNA-structs declarations in RNA_prototypes.h
So far it was needed to declare a new RNA struct to `RNA_access.h` manually.
Since 9b298cf3db we generate a `RNA_prototypes.h` for RNA property
declarations. Now this also includes the RNA struct declarations, so they don't
have to be added manually anymore.

7099d5b661 Fix: Missing translations from operator descriptions
The strings in the `get_description` functions for operators need
translation, they are not found by the translation system automatically,
and there is no translation applied afterwards either (as far as I could
tell). Some used `N_` before, but most did nothing.

dbeab82a89 T91406: Asset Library Indexing
Asset library indexing would store indexes of asset files to speed up
asset library browsing.

* Indexes are read when they are up to date
** Index should exist
** Index last modify data should be later than the file it indexes
** Index version should match
* The index of a file containing no assets can be load without opening
   the index file. The size of the file should be below a 32 bytes.
* Indexes are stored on a persistent cache folder.
* Unused index files are automatically removed.

The structure of the index files contains all data needed for browsing assets:
```
{
  "version": <file version number>,
  "entries": [{
    "name": "<asset name>",
    "catalog_id": "<catalog_id>",
    "catalog_name": "<catalog_name>",
    "description": "<description>",
    "author": "<author>",
    "tags": ["<tag>"]
  }]
}
```

a286148799 Assets: Allow specific data-block types to be enabled by default
Updates UI code so that we can enable the asset UI for specific data-block
types by default, i.e. irrespective of the "Extended Asset Browser"
experimental feature.
"Mark as Asset" and "Clear Asset" are always visible in the Outliner context
menu now, but are grayed out if not applicable and show a disabled hint in the
tooltip.

A known side-effect of this: The "Mark as Asset" and "Clear Asset" operators
are enabled for action data-blocks now, even though only pose actions created
through the Pose Libraries add-on are supported. If this is something worth
addressing is being discussed still.

823996b034 Asset Browser: Improved workflow for asset catalog saving
No longer save asset catalogs on blendfile save. Instead:

- extend the confirmation prompt for unsaved changes to show unsaved
  catalogs.
- In the confirmation prompt, make catalog saving explicit & optional,
  just like we do it for external images. {F10881736}
- In the Asset Browser catalog tree, show an operator icon to save the
  catalogs to disk. It's grayed out if there are no changes to save, or
  if the .blend wasn't saved yet (required to know where to save the
  catalog definitions to). {F10881743}

Much of the work was done by @Severin and reviewed by me, then we
swapped roles.

9d9f205dc4 Asset Browser: Initial Asset Catalog UI
The Asset Browser now displays a tree with asset catalogs in the left
sidebar.
This replaces the asset categories. It uses the new UI tree-view API
(https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Source/Interface/Views#Tree-View).
Buttons are displayed for adding and removing of catalogs. Parent items
can be collapsed, but the collapsed/uncollapsed state is not stored in
files yet.
Note that edits to catalogs (e.g. new or removed catalogs) are only
written to the asset library's catalog definition files when saving a
.blend.

In the "Current File" asset library, we try to show asset catalogs from
a parent asset library, or if that fails, from the directory the file is
stored in. See adaf4f56e1.

There are plenty of TODOs and smaller glitches to be fixed still. Plus a
UI polishing pass should be done.

Important missing UI features:
* Dragging assets into catalogs (WIP, close to being ready).
* Renaming catalogs
* Proper handling of catalogs in the "Current File" asset library
  (currently not working well).

The "Current File" asset library is especially limited still. Since this
is the only place where you can assign assets to a catalog, this makes
the catalogs very cumbersome in general. To assign an asset to a
catalog, one has to manually copy the Catalog ID (a random hash like
number) to the asset metadata through a temporary UI in the Asset
Browser Sidebar. These limitations should be addressed over the next few
days, they are high priority.

2d3e5eda3f Assets/UI: Resolve major asset view UI template limitation
Before this, all asset view templates showing the same asset library
would show the same assets, even if they should show different ID types.
That was a major limitation since the design did forsee that this
template can be put anywhere in the UI to display various sub-sets of
assets.

Initially I did the ID type filtering close to the asset-list reading,
because I wanted to optimize reading so that we would only actually read
asset information from disk of the ID type to be shown. But this will be
quite complex and I'm not sure if I'll get to work on this anytime soon.
So this commit moves the filtering to the template display level solving
this limitation.

Note: This also adds the code to filter by tags, together with the ID
type. But it's not actually used anywhere yet.

64bb49fa4e Cleanup: Move reorganize asset files
I'm trying to move away from general files with lots of things in them,
and instead have many small & focused files. I find that easier to
work with since everything has clear responsibilities, even if there is
some minor overhead in managing all these files.
I also try to differentiate more clearly between public and internal
files. So source files and internal headers are in a `intern/`
sub-directory, public functions are in a number of headers one level
higher.
For convenience and to make this compatible with our existing general
headers in `editors/include`, I made the `ED_asset.h` there include all
these public headers.
This is of course a bit of an experiment, let's see how it works in
practice.

Also corrected the name of `ED_asset_can_make_single_from_context()`.

e850c2b06d Cleanup: Centralize/unify asset library reference from/to enum code
This was an open TODO, I wanted to have code for translating asset
library references from and to enum values in a central place, and
access that in the same way from both the Asset Browser and the
Workspace RNA code.

* Adds own file for the related functions.
* Adds doxygen comments.
* Updates RNA callbacks to properly use these functions.
* Let these functions call each other, avoid duplicating logic.

582c5530b6 Cleanup: Move asset library reference C++ wrapper to own files
Although currently only the asset list code uses the asset library
reference wrapper, it can stand on its own and may be used in more
places in the future. So I prefer to give it its own source & header
file.

Also removed unused includes, added proper namespaces as per our C++
style guidelines, and removed an unnecessary TODO comment.

637731dc61 Assets: Abstraction for temporary loading of asset data-blocks
This is an editor-level abstraction for the `BLO_library_temp_xxx()`
API for temporary loading of data-blocks from another Blend file. It
abstracts away the asset specific code, like asset file-path handling
and local asset data-block handling.

Main use-case for this is applying assets as presets that are based on
data-blocks, like poses. Such preset assets are an important part of the
asset system design, so such an abstraction will likely find more usage
in the future.

a26a059244 Assets: Initial Asset List as part of the Asset System design
Implements a basic, WIP version of the asset list. This is needed to
give the asset view UI template asset reading and displaying
functionality.

See:
* Asset System: Data Storage, Reading & UI Access - https://developer.blender.org/T88184

Especially the asset list internals should change. It uses the
File/Asset Browser's `FileList` API, which isn't really meant for access
from outside the File Browser. But as explained in T88184, it does a lot
of the stuff we currently need, so we (Sybren Stüvel and I) decided to
go this route for now. Work on a file-list rewrite which integrates well
with the asset system started in the `asset-system-filelist` branch.

Further includes:
* Operator to reload the asset list.
* New `bpy.types.AssetHandle.get_full_library_path()` function, which
  gets the full path of the asset via the asset-list.
* Changes to preview loading to prevent the preview loading job to run
  eternally for asset views. File Browsers have this issue too, but
  should be fixed separately.

7898089de3 Assets: Add an active asset library per workspace, for the UI to use
This per-workspace active asset library will be used by the asset views
later. Note that Asset Browsers have their own active asset library,
overriding the one from the workspace.

As part of this the `FileSelectAssetLibraryUID` type gets replaced by
`AssetLibraryReference` which is on the asset level now, not the
File/Asset Browser level. But some more work is needed to complete that,
which is better done in a separate commit.
This also moves the asset library from/to enum-value logic from RNA to
the editor asset level, which will later be used by the asset view.

ef29ebb31b Code quality: Port recently added asset files to C++
It seems generally preferred to have new files be created with C++.
The only reason I didn't do that when I initially created the files is that I
was unsure about some C-API aspect.

Also includes some minor C++ related cleanup (nullptr instead of NULL, remove
redundant `struct` keyword).

c25e031049 Asset System: "Mark Asset" & "Clear Asset" operators and UI integration
This makes it possible to turn data-blocks into assets and back into normal
data-blocks. A core design decision made for the asset system is that not every
data-block should be an asset, because not every data-block is made for reuse.
Users have to explicitly mark data-blocks as assets.

Exposes "Mark Asset" and "Clear Asset" in Outliner context menus (currently ID
Data submenu) and button context menus. We are still not too happy with the
names, they may change.

This uses the new context members to pass data-blocks to operators, added in
af008f5532 and 0c1d476923.

Part of the first Asset Browser milestone. Check the #asset_browser_milestone_1
project milestone on developer.blender.org.
