de13d0a80c doxygen: add newline after \file
While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy
command after it.

65ec7ec524 Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headers
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful,
to reduce noise.

- BEGIN/END license blocks

  Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
  No need for separator text.

- Contributors

  This is often invalid, outdated or misleading
  especially when splitting files.

  It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

See P901 for script to perform these edits.

8c2a978b03 UI: rename Free Bake to Delete Bake.
"Free" is more of a programming term related to memory allocation, not a term
we need to use in the interface. Ref T61054.

0c8aa85069 Physics baking: tag interface locked during backing
This is a variation of older hach which was setting is_rendering
to truth to tell window manager to not do dependency graph update.

In the nowadays reality window manager is supposed to do dependency
graph update during rendering, that was the whole purpose of CoW
project. This works fine for rendering, since render engines has
their own dependency graphs.

Physics, on the other hand, is using same dependency graph as used
for the viewport, and what's worse: it modifies objects from it.
For example, in a single threaded evaluation ASAN instantly catches
case when cached BVH constructed by smoke is referencing looptri
layer which is freed by viewport's update.

Now we are locking interface, allowing only a subset of navigation
operators to run. This seems to be safest way of dealing with the
problem. There are following variations which we can consider
doing:

- Allow viewport navigation, which will require making it so draw
  manager does not write to the objects.

  A bit dangerous, since smoke simulation might in theory modify
  data which is also used by a draw manager.

- Make physics simulation to have own dedicated dependency graph,
  solving all threading conflicts all together.

This fixes crash when baking smoke. Steps to reproduce:

- Call "Quick Smoke"
- In smoke panel, click "Bake".

5ff1d845ea Cleanup: moar ugly G.main removal...
Note that due to RNA get/setters issue, that one may actually add some
G.main usages to the total... But at least it's not hidden anymore in a
very low-level, dark corner of BKE pointcache code!

  (would shadow it's own variable if used multiple times).
- enforce semicolon at end of iterator macros.
- no need to typedef one-off macro structs.

7aed2de798 Cleanup: macro's w/ an _END need a matching _BEGIN
Convention from 2.7x, since some looping macros don't need an '_END',
it avoids confusion to keep this.

3abe8b3292 Rename any instance of scene layer or render layer in code with view layer
The RenderResult struct still has a listbase of RenderLayer, but that's ok
since this is strictly for rendering.

* Subversion bump (to 2.80.2)
* DNA low level doversion (renames) - only for .blend created since 2.80 started

Note: We can't use DNA_struct_elem_find or get file version in init_structDNA,
so we are manually iterating over the array of the SDNA elements instead.

Note 2: This doversion change with renames can be reverted in a few months. But
so far it's required for 2.8 files created between October 2016 and now.

e4f2b2be26 Workspace: Move engines to workspace and Properties Editor cleanup
Engine is not stored in WorkSpaces. That defines the "context" engine, which
is used for the entire UI.

The engine used for the poll of nodes (add node menu, new nodes when "Use Nodes")
is obtained from context.

Introduce a ViewRender struct for viewport settings that are defined for
workspaces and scene. This struct will be populated with the hand-picked
settings that can be defined per workspace as per the 2.8 design.

Use Scene Settings
==================
For viewport drawing, Workspaces have an option to use the Scene render
settings (F12) instead of the viewport settings.

This way users can quickly preview the final render settings, engine and
View Layer. This will affect all the editors in that workspace, and it will be
clearly indicated in the top-bar.

Properties Editor: Add Workspace and organize context path

We now have the properties of:

Scene, Scene > Layer, Scene > World, Workspace

  A little note about them. Original Blender code would try to keep them
  in sync through the code, juggling flags back and forth. This will now
  be handled by Depsgraph, keeping Object and Bases more separated
  throughout the non-rendering code.

  Scene.base is being cleared in doversion, and the old viewport drawing
  code was poorly converted to use the new bases while the new viewport
  code doesn't get merged and replace the old one.

6ecab6dd8e Revert particle system and point cache removal in blender2.8 branch.
This reverts commit 5aa19be912 and b4a721af69.

Due to postponement of particle system rewrite it was decided to put particle code
back into the 2.8 branch for the time being.

1add9e5449 pointcache: Fix freeing all bakes in particle mode
Freeing all bakes didn't free edited cache in particle mode, this lead
to unresponsive ui and crashes.

Now use same logic as for freeing single bake.

53b221960a Last part of fix for [#31157]: Some (actually, 172) operators have no tooltip.
Only remaining undocumented one is IMAGE_OT_record_composite (not sure what it actually does, nor even whether it’s actually working or not...).

Note that I didn’t bother with operators flagged as OPTYPE_INTERNAL!

6926060185 - fix for BL_Shader::SetUniform() missing out the last part of the matrix.
- particle.c wasn't setting all components of the vector when reading cache and setting dummy velocity values.
- some functions incorrectly took a float[3] argument when the 4th value was set.
- remove a few redundant lines of code.
