Window might be focused by mouse click in configuration of window manager
when focus is not following mouse.
Click could have been done on a button and depending on window manager settings
click would be passed to blender or not, but in any case button under cursor
should be activated. Currently the easiest way to activate button is to
generate mouse move event.
Not sure about OSX, but on windows it worked fine because OS is generating
WM_MOUSEMOVE event "automatically" so nothing special from blender side was
needed.
--debug
--debug-ffmpeg
--debug-python
--debug-events
--debug-wm
This makes debug output easier to read - event debug prints would flood output too much before.
For convenience:
--debug-all turns all debug flags on (works as --debug did before).
also removed some redundant whitespace in debug prints and prefix some prints with __func__ to give some context.
Adds conformation on exit for windows. Needs to be enabled in user perf.
Tried to edit blender.exe.manifest for more modern dialog look, but didn't work out.
Fix this by storing if the border is set - before this was only done for the window dimensions.
also move these variables into a static struct so this logic is easier to follow.
Previous state:
Right now, there are "memories" of the "old" (less than a month!) translation way:
* A few remaining calls to BLF_gettext() (only UI_translate_do_iface and UI_translate_do_tooltip should be used).
* The _() macro still also calls BLF_gettext()!
New state:
Here are the changes made by the patch:
* Removing the no more needed _() macro.
* Removing most N_() and _() calls, only keeping the few needed ones (i.e. strings that are in no other way findable by xgettext and/or update_msg script).
* Defining in UI_interface.h IFACE_() and TIP_() macros (resp. for UI_translate_do_iface and UI_translate_do_tooltip).
* Replacing all calls to BLF_gettext by relevant IFACE_ or TIP_ one.
* Replacing all calls to UI_translate_do_iface by IFACE_.
* Replacing all calls to UI_translate_do_tooltip by TIP_.
All this somewhat clarifies and simplifies the code.
On the bf-translations scripts side, this only implies adding IFACE_ and TIP_ as detection markers for xgettext.
It also allows to reduce POTFILES.in quite notably (only 20 files remaining in it).

- fix: user pref, window title was reset to 'Blender' on tab usage
- Undo history menu back:
- name "Undo History"
- hotkey alt+ctrl+z (alt+apple+z for mac)
- works like 2.4x, only for global undo, editmode and particle edit.
- Menu scroll
- for small windows or screens, popup menus now allow to display
all items, using internal scrolling
- works with a timer, scrolling 10 items per second when mouse
is over the top or bottom arrow
- if menu is too big to display, it now draws to top or bottom,
based on largest available space.
- also works for hotkey driven pop up menus.
- User pref "DPI" follows widget/layout size
- widgets & headers now become bigger and smaller, to match
'dpi' font sizes. Works well to match UI to monitor size.
- note that icons can get fuzzy, we need better mipmaps for it
When rendering, during processing scene data, drawing in 3d window
is now locked. Can get extended to more areas in UI easily.
At least this solves all crashes with conflicting memory access in
render && 3d drawing. Deleting objects via operators or delete
modifiers isn't locked yet.
Also fixed: crash on quitting a renderwindow when it was rendering.
