f0fc007c4b Wrapped node input and output sockets in RNA.
This allows you to set and animate the values of socket inputs and outputs, for example the value node.
It's also a step on the way to manipulating node trees via python (i.e. linking node sockets to each other).

This fixes [#19841] RGB Node in compositor not working

bc006655ba * Finished (well, almost ;) RNA wrapping and layout-engine-ing all the nodes.
Still a few quirks, including redraw issues on multilayer image input nodes, but it's pretty much there.
Would also be good to wrap the input/output sockets, too, will check on it.

This fixes bug [#19740] INPUT NODE: Cannot load images / motion pictures

fd511eb984 Node Bugfixes:
* Compo node backdrop works again.
* Compo node previews and backdrop now get correct color management
  float to byte conversion.
* Compo nodes got unecessarily recalculated while moving nodes.
* Fix compo node viewer nodes not getting activated correctly.
* Main compo node preview render computations are now outside of
  mutex lock, so better for multithreading.
* Tex node outputs did not work in some files loaded from 2.4.
* Change RNA updates to take into account groups that may be shared
  between multiple node trees.

d601a51e03 RNA: added a "factor" subtype next to "percentage", and only display
% sign for percentage assuming it is between 0-100, while factor is
for values 0-1.

Move collision setting absorption from modifier to collision settings,
was inconsistent to have it there as the only one, and made it have
range 0.0-1.0 instead of 0-100.

9710673192 2.5 - Animation Bugfixes:
* Breakdown tool for Poses (Shift-E in PoseMode) now works. Now this works as a modal operator when invoked, with the horizontal movement of the mouse (left to right) corresponding the placement of the breakdown relative to the endpoint keyframes.

* Moving bones between armature layers in Edit Mode didn't work (wrong variable name used)
* Fixed several notifier-related bugs regarding editing armature settings and the 3d-view not refreshing
* Duplicating bones preserves the rotation mode

* Animation Data for Nodes is now show in Datablocks viewer (i.e. AnimData for NodeTrees has now been wrapped)

* Node buttons can now use the layout engine. a few simple
  ones are converted. We'll keep this code in C for now,
  python wouldn't help much here.
* For node buttons not using the layout engine, manually
  computing the button height is not longer needed.
* Node inputs are still not RNA wrapped, would be good to
  have these available as well for keying, but makesrna does
  not have access to the bNodeTypes.

05c44056dc 2.5 - Demo of how to get node attributes animateable
* Made sure that nodes have a working 'path' function (needed for any tools that will resolve paths needed for animating properties)

* Replaced all the UI button controls for a single node (Vector Blur) with relevant RNA buttons which can be animated. There are probably some even nicer ways to do this (i.e. using layout engine for drawing all sets of buttons), though this is the easiest way forward in the immediate future. 
Anyways, if people are interested in getting this working, they will need to spend time to replace all the necessary button calls :)

f6682ab773 RNA: subtypes and units
* Reviewed subtypes, making them more specific and adding new ones.
* Subtypes now have an associated type of units (length, area, volume,
  mass, rotation, time, velocity, acceleration). These are not used
  yet anywhere.
* Centralized code that decides the name of array items based on
  subtype (XYZ, RGB), was copied in 3 places.
* RNA_def_float etc functions still need to be update, will do this
  later together with another change.

1f4fa869e4 2.5: RNA & UI
* Revert lamp sampling/buffers change. The right enum items should
  be defined in RNA, not the layout, so that it works in outliner,
  python api too.
* Also changed type popup to radio buttons again, and removed the
  icons. This is more consistent, and I don't think it's a good idea
  to start using icons for these things, too much clutter.

* Replace Mesh with Normals panel in the mesh buttons.
* Remove Material panel from mesh buttons.
* Added name fields for shape/vgroup/vcol/uv.
* Spacing tweak to Object and Bone names.

* Fix some naming conflicts in RNA, with "name" and "type" properties
  being defined twice in the same struct.

* context.scene.tool_settings -> context.tool_settings.

51fbc95e8c RNA
* Added icon to property and enum property items. The latter is
  responsible for the large number of files changed.
* For RNA functions, added PROP_RNAPTR flag to ask for a PointerRNA
  as argument instead of a C pointer, instead of doing it implicitly
  with the AnyType type.

* Material: properly wrap diffuse/specular param variables, and
  rename some things for consistency.
* MaterialTextureSlot: added "enabled" property (ma->septex).
* Image: make animated property editable.
* Image Editor: make some things editable, notifiers, respect state.
* Context: fix issue with screen not being set as ID.

673a39dab1 RNA:
* Accept None as NULL pointers through python function calls.
* Added type callback for pointers back, it's useful still in
  some cases. Made Object.data editable using this, the pointer
  type varying based on object type.
* Wrap pin ID pointer in buttons space.
* Added subclasses for text and surface curve ID blocks, to
  organize data better and get proper icons.
* Added RNA_type_to_ID_code and ID_code_to_RNA_type functions.
* Update RNA_access.h with new RNA types.

a591a47c43 RNA:
* Automatically do us++ and us-- reference counting in ID pointer
  set functions.
* Added an enum property callback to dynamically vary the list of
  available items.
* Added some functions to do removes on pointers and collections
  runtime defined for RNA and using ID properties.

* Constraints now have owner/target space wrapped, and most
  pointers made editable. They can be ported to use python layouts.
* Also other pointers made editable that I think are see now with
  the automatic reference counting.

More cleanup!

- removed old UI font completely, including from uiBeginBlock
- emboss hints for uiBlock only have three types now;
  Regular, Pulldown, or "Nothing" (only icon/text)
- removed old font path from Userdef
- removed all old button theme hinting
- removed old "auto block" to merge buttons in groups
  (was only in use for radiosity buttons)

And went over all warnings. One hooray for make giving clean output :)
Well, we need uniform definitions for warnings, so people at least fix
them... here's the real bad bugs I found:

- in mesh code, a call to editmesh mixed *em and *me
- in armature, ED_util.h was not included, so no warnings for wrong call
  to ED_undo_push()
- The extern Py api .h was not included in the bpy_interface.c, showing
  a several calls using different args.

Further just added the missing includes, and removed unused vars.

51ce279300 Started wrapping nodes in RNA. Only shader nodes have all their options wrapped;
TEX and CMP to follow.

Also, renumbered the texture nodes because when I first wrote them I thought
they could share ID numbers with the SH and CMP nodes. D'oh!

284db61572 RNA: C API
* RNA_blender.h is now generated along with the other files. It is not
  used anywhere yet, and still located quite hidden next to the other
  rna_*_gen.c files. Read only access for now.
* Inherited properties are not copied from the base anymore but
  iterated over. Patch by Vekoon, thanks!
* Array get/set callbacks now do the whole array instead of getting an
  index. This is needed for some layers for example so python can set
  the array as a whole, otherwise the check that one layer has to be
  enabled at all times gets in the way. Also nicer for the C API.
* Also some changes to returning pointers to make the API cleaner, got
  rid of the type() callback and instead let get() return PointerRNA
  with the type included.

The C API looks like this currently:

7cd4e2781a RNA
* Finished DNA_lamp_types.h, DNA_world_types.h and DNA_sound_types.h.
* Renamed "parent" struct property to "nested", and also remaining "from"
  usage to "base".
* Added a NEVER_NULL subtype for pointers and use it for all properties
  that apply.
* Make sure all structs have a description, and fix any other DOC_BROKEN
  descriptions, also many other naming consistency improvements.

Many descriptions are not written, grep for DOC_BROKEN if you have some spare time to write struct descriptions.

8f1847e4c3 RNA: review of commits in the past days, check the diffs for the
many small changes, but the two bigger ones are:

* Sensors and controllers now use inheritance, rather than pointing
  to the data in a separate struct. Had to add some new RNA define
  functionality to support this better.
* DNA_meta_types.h was marked as done but still missing many things,
  now completed.

* Fix a number of warnings in the RNA code.
* Converted DOS line endings to UNIX.
* Added some information on defining ID structs, and fixed use
  of "ID" inheritance for some non-ID structs.
* Added text on naming conventions to the RNA documentation, and
  applied it to the current code.
