This commit restores support for freezing or speeding up physics sims. Animate
the "Speed" parameter under Domain->Time, which controls a multiplier factor for
the rate at which the sim proceeds (i.e. the old "Fac-Tim" setting).
Notes:
* Subversion bumped to 4 to patch up defaults for new value so that old sim
files will still run correctly
* Names/descriptions could do with some tweaking
* Porting this across was not that obvious since quite a bit of stuff had
changed (as in, been cleaned up). However, from tests so far, it seems to work
well.
* Fluid compilation: Inverse the compile flag from DISABLE_ELBEEM to WITH_MOD_FLUID for consistency. (scons/cmake)
* Use WITH_BF_FLUID in your user config (scons)
* Add support for scons to disable build with Decimate and Boolean modifier.
(WITH_BF_DECIMATE and WITH_BF_BOOLEAN)
* replace by BLI_snprintf in various places, note _snprintf on windows
does not properly null terminate the string.
* fix overflow in sequencer proxy code due to buffer being smaller than
specified size.
* fix some usage of snprintf as strcpy, this is will go wrong if the
string contains % characters.
* remove BLI_dynstr_printf function in gpu module, use BLI_dynstr_appendf
a) Enable the possibility to remove the "air bubble" around submerged collision object. This feature is enabled as standard for new files. The code was found in elbeem by nudelZ, coded and provided by Nils Thürey (thanks!)
b) Old baked files gets deleted if a new bake gets started (were overwritten before and resulted in weird old bake + new bake mixture) (idea by nudelZ)
* Tsk! Using sizeof(string) to determine string length works if the string is a char array, but not if it's a pointer to a char array!
* Now the fluid code uses the actual size of the string directly.
Both stored the filename of the blend file, but G.sce stored the last opened file.
This will make blender act differently in some cases since a relative path to the last opened file will no longer resolve (which is correct IMHO since that file isnt open and the path might not even be valid anymore).
Tested linking with durian files and rendering to relative paths when no files is loaded however we may need to have some operators give an error if they are used on the default startup.blend.
- omit render code from this warning (cmake only), until render branch is merged.
- moved -Wunused-parameter warning to apply to all C code in blender (not just ./source/blender), (cmake only).
- removed deprecated bitmap arg from IMB_allocImBuf (plugins will need updating).
- mostly tagged UNUSED() since some of these functions look like they may need to have the arguments used later.
Now, rather than the bit-too-alarming stop sign, threaded wmJobs
display a progress indicator in the header. This is an optional feature
for each job type and still uses the same hardcoded ui template
(could use further work here...).
Currently implemented for:
Render - parts completed, then nodes comped
Compositor - nodes comped
Fluid Sim - frames simulated
Texture Bake - faces baked

* Division by zero fix for TNT SVD code.
* Sound fix, in case ffmpeg decode fails, don't use the samples.
* Fix for incorrect bounds of transformed objects in new raytracing code.
* Gave memory arena's a name used for allocations for easier memory
usage debugging.
* Dupligroup no_draw option was using layers but not restrict view/render
setting. (not a bugfix exactly but would do display list context switching
while drawing for no reason).
* Fix objects instanced on hair particles not giving consistent results
when the object is transformed.
* New math functions: madd_v4_v4fl, len_squared_v3v3, interp_v4_v4v4v4,
mul_v4_m4v4, SH and form factor functions, box_minmax_bounds_m4.
* mul_m4_m4m4 and mul_m3_m3m3 now accept the same pointers for multiple
arguments.
* endjob callback for WM jobs system.
* Geometry node uv/color layer now has search list/autocomplete.
* Various small buildsystem tweaks, not strictly needed yet in trunk.
This commit restores fluid sim baking functionality in 2.5, it's been on the todo for
a while, and was previously almost completely non-functional. The old
code was quite complicated and specific to the 2.4 animation system, so I've
pretty much rewritten most of it.
This includes:
* Animated variables work again - just key them in the UI. Non-animateable values
should be already set non-animateable in RNA, hopefully I got them all.
Available are: Domain Gravity / Domain Viscosity / Object loc/rot/scale /
Object initial velocity / Deforming meshes / Fluid control Attract strength /
Fluid control Attract radius / Fluid control Velocity strength /
Fluid control Velocity radius / Object Active status (checkbox next to fluid type)
The Domain time scale is still not yet implemented.
* Fluid sim now use global scene units data by default - when enabled, the
scene's global gravity value is used and when units are set (metric/imperial)
the simulation real world size is taken from the object's actual measurements.
* The baking process is now done in the background, using the nifty threaded
Jobs system. It's non-blocking and your domain object will show the simulated
fluid as it becomes available for that frame.
A nice extra thing for the future would be to improve the visualisation of the
object's state while baking, and also the jobs system/ui could do with some
touchups - currently it has to share a bit from the 'render' job, and appears as
'Render' in the header. Progress bars for jobs in the header would be great too.
Only source/blender/editors/ dir, should not give errors on different platforms
Only removing: UI_*.h, ED_*.h, WM_*.h, DNA_*.h, IMB_*.h, RNA_*.h, PIL_*.h
