c9760e8d64 Support subtypes in Projects
Summary:
Ref T13242. See PHI1039. Maniphest subtypes generally seem to be working well. I designed them as a general capability that might be extended to other `EditEngine` objects later, and PHI1039 describes a situation where extending subtypes to projects would give us some reasonable tools.

(Some installs also already use icons/colors as a sort of lightweight version of subtypes, so I believe this is generally useful capability.)

Some of this is a little bit copy-pasted and could probably be shared, but I'd like to wait a bit longer before merging it. For example, both configs have exactly the same structure right now, but Projects should possibly have some different flags (for example: to disable creating subprojects / milestones).

This implementation is pretty basic for now: notably, subprojects/milestones don't get the nice "choose from among subtype forms" treatment that tasks do. If this ends up being part of a solution to PHI1039, I'd plan to fill that in later on.

Test Plan: Defined multiple subtypes, created subtype forms, created projects with appropriate subtypes. Filtered them by subtype. Saw subtype information on list/detail views.

See https://discourse.phabricator-community.org/t/typeahead-returning-only-archived-results/2220. Ref T12538.

If a user has more than 100 disabled projects matching their search term, only disabled projects will be returned in the typeahead search results.

933462b487 Continue cleaning up queries in the wake of changes to "%Q"
Summary: Depends on D19810. Ref T13217. Ref T13216. I mostly used `grep implode | grep OR` and `grep implode | grep AND` to find these -- not totally exhaustive but should be a big chunk of the callsites that are missing `%LO` / `%LA`.

Test Plan:
These are tricky to test exhaustively, but I made an attempt to hit most of them:

- Browsed Almanac interfaces.
- Created/browsed Calendar events.
- Enabled/disabled/showed the lock log.
- Browsed repositories.
- Loaded Facts UI.
- Poked at Multimeter.
- Used typeahead for users and projects.
- Browsed Phriction.
- Ran various fulltext searches.

Not sure these are reachable:

- All the lint stuff might be dead/unreachable/nonfunctional?

72cb3d3c84 Limit the damage that degenerate project name typeahead queries can cause
Summary:
See PHI47. When users copy/paste a wall of text into a project tokenizer, we can end up performing a very large number of JOINs.

These JOINs seem okay locally and on `secure`, but the install in PHI47 reports hitting issues.

Since these queries are almost certainly illegitimate (I think no one uses 5+ words to find a project), just limit the search to the 5 longest tokens.

Note that typing 6 tokens will still almost always work, since the UI does additional filtering. However, if you have 100+ projects named "a b c d e ..." and search for "a b c d e z", you may not hit it. This is so degenerate that it's hard to imagine any users encountering it.

This is a stopgap fix, I'll file something longer-term as a followup.

Test Plan: Used `/typeahead/class/PhabricatorProjectDatasource/` to run queries. Saw the same results with shorter query plans for all reasonable queries.

40d3bcb891 Fix a complicated object caching issue with the policy filter
Summary:
Fixes T11853. To set this up:

  - Create "Project A".
  - Join "Project A".
  - Create a subproject, "Project A Subproject 1".
    - This causes Project A to become a parent project.
    - This moves you to be a member of "Project A Subproject 1" instead of "Project A" directly.
  - Create another subproject, "Project A Subproject 2".
    - Do not join this subproject.
  - Set the second subproject's policy to "Visible To: Members of Project A".
  - Try to edit the second subproject.

Before this change, this fails:

  - When querying projects, we sometime try to skip loading the viewer's membership in ancestor projects as a small optimization.
  - Via `PhabricatorExtendedPolicyInterface`, we may then return the parent project to the policy filter for extended checks.
  - The PolicyFilter has an optimization: if we're checking an object, and we already have that object, we can just use the object we already have. This is common and useful.
  - However, in this case it causes us to reuse an incomplete object (an object without proper membership information). We fail a policy check which we should pass.

Instead, don't skip loading the viewer's membership in ancestor projects.

Test Plan:
  - Did all that stuff above.
  - Could edit the subproject.
  - Ran `arc unit --everything`.

9a1d59ad5b Separate sever-side typeahead queries into "prefix" and "content" phases
Summary:
Ref T8510. When users type "platypus" into a typeahead, they want "Platypus Playground" to be a higher-ranked match than "AAA Platypus", even though the latter is alphabetically first.

Specifically, the rule is: results which match the query as a prefix of the result text should rank above results which do not.

I believe we now always get this right on the client side. However, WMF has at least one case (described in T8510) where we do not get it right on the server side, and thus the user sees the wrong result.

The remaining issue is that if "platypus" matches more than 100 results, the result "Platypus Playground" may not appear in the result set at all, beacuse there are 100 copies of "AAA Platypus 1", "AAA Platypus 2", etc., first. So even though the client will apply the correct sort, it doesn't have the result the user wants and can't show it to them.

To fix this, split the server-side query into two phases:

  - In the first phase, the "prefix" phase, we find results that **start with** "platypus".
  - In the second phase, the "content" phase, we find results that contain "platypus" anywhere.

We skip the "prefix" phase if the user has not typed a query (for example, in the browse view).

Test Plan:
This is a lot of stuff, but the new ranking here puts projects which start with "w" at the top of the list. Lower down the list, you can see some projects which contain "w" but do not appear at the top (like "Serious Work").

10ef973735 Allow older, invalid project tags to continue to function
Summary:
Ref T10168.

Around October 12, T9551 made project hashtags stricter and prevented them from containing characters like comma (`,`).

Around December 27, D14888 changed how hashtags queries work so that the query does normalization instead of requiring the caller to normalize.

After the Dec 27 change, projects from before Oct 12 with now-invalid hashtags will no longer load when queried directly by hashtag, because the page queries for `old,[silly]hash,,tag` or whatever, it gets normalized into `old_silly_hash_tag`, and then there are no hits.

Instead, at least for now, query by both the exact raw text and the normalized hashtag. This should keep older stuff working until we can give users more support for migrating forward.

Test Plan:
  - Forced a project to have a bogus hahstag.
  - Before patch: clicking its tag 404'd.

373ff7f9d4 Read materialized project members instead of real members
Summary:
Ref T10010. This will allow us to find superprojects with `withMemberPHIDs(...)` queries.

  - Copy all the current real member edges to materialized member edges.
  - Redirect all reads to look at materialized members.
  - This table is already kept in sync by earlier work with indexing.

Basically, flow is:

  - Writes (joining, leaving, adding/removing members) write to the real member edge type.
  - After a project's members change, they're copied to the materialized member edge type for that project and all of its superprojects.
  - Reads look at materialized members, so "Parent" sees the members of "Child" and "Grandchild" as its own members, but we still have the "real members" edge type to keep track of "natural" or "direct" members.

Test Plan:
  - Ran migration.
  - Ran unit tests.
  - Saw the same projects as projects I was a member of.
  - Added some `var_dump()` stuff to verify the Owners changed.
  - Used `grep` to look for other readers of this edge type.

26ba4e8717 Materialize parent project memberships
Summary:
Ref T10010. Subprojects have the following general membership rule: if you are a member of a subproject ("Engineering > Backend"), you are also a member of the parent project.

It would be unreasonably difficult to implement this rule directly in SQL when querying `withMemberPHIDs()`, because we'd have to do an arbitrarily large number of arbitrarily deep joins, or fetch and then requery a lot of data.

Instead, introduce "materailized members", which are just a copy of all the effective members of a project. When a subproject has a membership change, we go recompute the effective membership of all the parent projects. Then we can just JOIN to satisfy `withMemberPHIDs()`.

Having this process avialable will also be useful in the future, when a project's membership might be defined by some external source.

Also make milestones mostly work like we'd expect them to with respect to membership and visibility.

Test Plan:
  - Added and executed unit tests.
  - Changed project members, verified materialized members populated correctly in the database.

70f6bf306f Implement child/descendant query rules in Projects
Summary:
Ref T10010. This adds infrastructure for querying projects by type, depth, parent and ancestor.

I needed to revise the "extended policy check" cycle detection rules. When, e.g., querying a grandchild, they incorrectly detected a cycle because both the child and grandchild needed to check the policy of the grandparent.

Instead, simplify it to just do a basic runaway calldepth check. There are many other safety mechanisms to make it so this can't ever occur.

(Cycle detection does have existing test coverage, and those tests still pass, it just takes a little longer to detect the cycle internally.)

To support a unified "Projects:" query across all applications, a future diff is going to add a set of "Edge Logic" capabilities to `PolicyAwareQuery` which write the required SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, HAVING and GROUP clauses for you.

With the addition of "Edge Logic", we'll have three systems which may need to build components of query claues: ordering/paging, customfields/applicationsearch, and edge logic.

For most clauses, queries don't currently call into the parent explicitly to get default components. I want to move more query construction logic up the class tree so it can be shared.

For most methods, this isn't a problem, but many subclasses define a `buildWhereClause()`. Make all such definitions protected and consistent.

This causes no behavioral changes.

Test Plan: Ran `arc unit --everything`, which does a pretty through job of verifying this statically.

8efdc4aabf Replace getPagingValue() with cursor methods
Summary:
Ref T7803. Prior to this change sequence, Query classes conflated paging values (the actual thing that goes in a "x > 3" clause) with cursor values (arbitrary identifiers which track where the user is in a result list).

Although the two can sometimes be the same, the vast majority of implementations are simpler and better when object IDs are used as cursors and paging values are derived from them.

The new stuff handles this in a consistent way, so we're free to separate getPagingValue() from paging. The new method is essentially getResultCursor().

This also implements getPageCursors(), which allows queries to return directional cursors. The inability to do this was a practical limitation blocking the implementation of T7803.

Test Plan:
  - Browsed a bunch of results and paged through queries.
  - Grepped for removed methods.

ac504f232f Projects - smooth out scenarios around renaming a project and slugs
Summary:
Fixes T7092. When you name project "Foo" which has primary hashtag "foo" to "Foobar", post this patch the hashtag "foo" gets added as a secondary hashtag. Also makes sure we don't normalize the hashtags in the query function as the wikimedia folks were hitting an issue around capitalization on the hashtag.

Note that T6909 remains "broken" in that you get an error that you can't do that, though if you just omit the additional hashtag it would work fine. I think if a fix is necessary here the best bet would be to simply detect this particular scenario and let things proceed; its a bit tricky though since its about two transactions about to be applied and how they interact with one another...

Test Plan: Made project "Foo" which has primary hashtag "foo". Renamed it to "Foobar" and verified "foo" was added as a secondary hashtag and "foobar" was the primary hashtag. Renamed it again to "Foo" and noted that the hashtags all ended up correct.

a115810912 Give projects a proper on-demand datasource
Summary:
Fixes T5614. Ref T4420. Other than the "users" datasource and a couple of others, many datasources ignore what the user typed and just return all results, then rely on the client to filter them.

This works fine for rarely used ("legalpad documents") or always small ("task priorities", "applications") datasets, but is something we should graudally move away from as datasets get larger.

Add a token table to projects, populate it, and use it to drive the datasource query. Additionally, expose it on the applicationsearch UI.

Test Plan:
  - Ran migration.
  - Manually checked the table.
  - Searched for projects by name from ApplicationSearch.
  - Searched for projects by name from typeahead.

922e5c0849 Projects - add "Additional Hashtags" to projects
Summary:
Fixes T4021. Chooses to keep a "primary" slug based off the name - including all that lovely logic - and allow the user to specify "additional" slugs. Expose these as "hashtags" to the user.

Sets us up for a fun diff where we can delete all the Project => Phriction automagicalness. In terms of this diff, see the TODOs i added.

Test Plan:
added a primary slug as an additional slug - got an error. added a slug in use on another project - got an error. added multiple good slugs and they worked. removed slugs and it worked. made some remark using multiple new slugs and they all linked to the correct project

ran epriestley's case

 - Create project "A".
 - Give it additional slug "B".
 - Try to create project "B".

and i got a nice error about hashtag collision

3a31554268 Allow projects to be "watched", sort of a super-subscribe
Summary:
Ref T4967. Adds a "Watch" relationship to projects, which is stronger than member/subscribed.

Specifically, when a task is tagged with a project, we'll include all project watchers in the email/notifications. Normally we don't include projects unless they're explicitly CC'd, or have some other active role in the object (like being a reviewer or auditor).

This allows you to closely follow a project without needing to write a Herald rule for every project you care about.

Test Plan:
  - Watched/unwatched a project.
  - Tested the watch/subscribe/member relationships:
    - Watching implies subscribe.
    - Joining implies subscribe.
    - Leaving implies unsubscribe + unwatch.
    - You can't unsubscribe until you unwatch (slightly better would be unsubscribe implies unwatch, but this is a bit tricky).
  - Watched a project, then recevied email about a tagged task without otherwise being involved.

8c84ed61b1 Migrate project profiles onto projects, and remove ProjectProfile object
Summary:
Ref T4379. Long ago, the "Project" vs "ProjectProfile" split was intended to allow a bunch of special fields on projects without burdening the simple use cases, but CustomField handles that far better and far more generally, and doing this makes using ApplicationTransactions a pain to get right, so get rid of it.

The only remaining field is `profileImagePHID`, which we can just move to the main Project object. This is custom enough that I think it's reasonable not to express it as a custom field.
