Short description of error
When exporting a glb (ticking the box [v]selected objects) with some animations on it, even the static objects with no animations on them get few random keyframes (inspected using gltf report)
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I have tried to export a glb, also ticked the box [v] selected objects to export only the selected objects, I have noticed after inpecting it in gltf report (https://gltf.report/) that the file contains animations even on static objects that has no keyframes on and not connected in a ny way to an animated object.
After many tries, I have noticed that when unticking the []selected objects tick box the export worked as intended. That seems like a bug for me.
I am attaching a few simple examples files for you to look at.
The issue still persists in the new 3.4.1
Hello,
This is an intentional behavior.
When exporting selected object only, all objects animation are baked, for taking into account non animated objects, but with non selected animated parent.
When can remove all static objects animation by selecting the option "Optimize Animation Size" at export.
This behavior will be changed in Blender 3.6, where baking objects animation will be off by default. (to be committed in the following hours).
Keeping this ticket open until the commit is done.
I see..
I'm glad it is going to change as it is a bit confusing and unnecessary in my opinion.
btw when optimizing the animation size some of the animation get broken easpecially armatures s I did try to use that before.
