Could you please elaborate on what is "not working" exactly?

Is this regarding the "Import AutoCAD DXF Format" addon (Version 0.9.6) that comes with Blender 3.1.2 or some other importer or version? Does it install? Does it show any error messages when you run it? Does it fail to work for all files or a specific one? Does it fail to operate or operate incorrectly?

My apologies for the vague report. When trying to import a dfx file into blender the option wasn't there, so I went in preferences and saw and error message. Is there another way I could bring an AutoCAD file in blender? image

@daniel-29 - Sorry if I am still a bit unclear. You mention it "not working" and later that there is an "error message" but did not include anything that shows an error message.

For the version of Blender you mention, 3.1.2, you would first go to Edit / Preferences / Addons, and find the one called "Import-Export: Import AutoCAD DXF Format (.dxf)". And add a checkmark to the left of its name:

DXFImport.png

One you have done so you should be able to go to File / Import / AutoCAD DXF:

DXFImport2.png

Which part of this doesn't work? What error messages do you see?

At the top right corner there is a triangle with the exclamation sign. And on mine I see a warning that it's "under construction!..." I sent an image earlier that shows these two things. Thanks for replying btw

@daniel-29 From your screenshots it looks like you enabled the Export Autocad DXF format add-on, instead of Import Autocad DXF format.

If it is so, this would explain why the option doesn’t show up in the Import menu.

The warning message comes with the add-on and can be ignored.
