When you click "Initialize (Add BSurface mesh)"

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open blender
with the default cube selected type "n" to open the tool sidebar
click on the "Edit" tab to show the BSurfaces functionality
click on the "Initialize (Add BSurface mesh)" button
