The OBJ add-on was removed in 4.0, after a faster, native importer was added as replacement. In fact the option to keep vertex order was removed as well in the new importer.

What is the exact issue you’re facing, could you attach a simple .blend file showing the difference in behaviour you observe?

The OBJ add-on was [removed in 4.0](https://developer.blender.org/docs/release_notes/4.0/import_export/#obj-and-ply), after a faster, native importer was added as replacement. In fact the option to keep vertex order was removed as well in the new importer.
