Rigify GPU Spike, Blender Crash to Desktop. #105303

Worked: 4.0 (It was some time ago when it worked fine but upon launching this morning this issue happened. I've attempted the same file on all 3.X version and 4.X versions.

Short description of error
Upon moving the rig bones of any rig made with Rigify at any time blender can crash to the desktop with no errors in general.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open the provided scene.
  • Select the hand bone.
  • Move the hand bone consistently in any movement until a crash.

Usually takes around 20 seconds with a max of around a minute and a half or so. No rigify, no spike.

I've attempted updating drivers, and then rolling back drivers. Any help would be appreciated!

blender/blender#103461 had the same issue it seems, but there was never a fix posted there.
