Short description of error
[hey, when i open blender and click on cycle with gpu my pc automatically turn off. i never faced issue like this before.please help me ]
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Please describe the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]
Can't replicate the issue on my system with provieded details and .blend file.
First step would be to make sure the hardware is working alright. Commonly such system crahses are caused by bad or insufficent ram, vram or psu.
From my experience: My latest blender causing system reboots event was caused by having a bios setting enabled, which "enhances" the vram by utilizing the ram and by doing so having more address range available. If either ran out the system fully crashed. With disabled setting no crash occurs anymore. The crashes before that were caused by having insufficent ram and a corrupted pagefile.
my hardware is working alright. when i use blender in cycle with gpu my pc automatically shut down. its happing last 2-3 days. i never faced issue like this. please help me
Alright then a few steps, just to make sure and to improve the report quality:
In general provide as much concise info as possible, just providing something like "crash, please help" won't get you anywhere...
Have you made any updates of any kind lately (windows, drivers, etc.)?
Are your GPU drivers up-to-date?
Have you tried a newer blender version already? Does it crash or is that stable for you? You can download the most current official release at https://www.blender.org/download/
Do older blender version work as expected? You can download those from https://download.blender.org/release/
What happens before the crash? What are your actions inside blender that will lead always to the crash on your system?
Are all projects of yours affected or only the attached one?
Do you have any custom addons installed?
Try resetting blenders preferences, in case some setting got screwed up like e.g. number of undo steps which can and will lead to high memory usage.
Does any system event get logged in windows event/system log at the time of the system crash? Do you see a critical error or warning like e.g. Resource-Exhaustion in the administrative log?
Take a look at https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/troubleshooting/crash.html and attach a crash log to this report.
Tbh i highly doubt that your hardware is working alright. Usually if unusual behavior occurs without any user action it's either the hardwares or systems fault. So again:
Hi, system shutdown is less likely to happen due to software. OS/hardware are likely responsible here.
In any case if problem persists after @Bujus_Krachus suggestion, best to open a report in blender repo: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues
