System Information
Operating system and graphics card
Windows 7 64 Professional, NVIDIA GeForce GTX580 , inteli7-2600 cpu@3.40GHz16Gb Ram
Blender Version
2.79 official release
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
The Animation node instaler/package does not see the numpy library that is supposed to be installed in the official release 2.79
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Install from file as usual, the addon is available but the checkbox is empty. I click to check it and I get an error message stating that numpy is not in this build of blender, suggests to install an official build with numpy inside.

Have you tried a recent version from BuildBot?
There used to be an issue, I think it's been fixed in a later build.

Tried on the latest build (blender-2.79-55696b56-win64) The error now states that there is a python mismatch. The animation node was compiled for 3.5.3 and the current version in the build is 3.6.2

Well yeah, the python mismatch is expected, animation nodes will have to be updated to support this python verison, however.....

I installed the zip file from here on a stock 2.79 build and that seems to be happy?

I installed it on a win 10 64 machine at the office, in the same 2.79 official build as the one that is not working at home and it installed right away.
Both machines are identical as far as hardware is concerned, just a different OS.

I tried to find a windows installer for Numpy but all i see are "wheels" and source code...the heck is a "wheel" in programing? (i am not a coder)

Yeah don't go down that route, even if you find an installer it won't work due to our specialized python build. You could try temporary renaming

C:\Users[YourUser]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79 to 2.79.bak and see if that fixes anything

Well, that worked!!
Apparently another add-on interferes with the animation node somehow. I renamed the folder as suggested, got animation node to install without any problems, then i copied the other add-ons back into the new folder. sure enough, the box was unticked again and i got the same error. So my next step is to install add-ons one at a time and see witch one screws it up. I'll let you know what i find. Thanks LazyDodo.

Please, can you attach the system-info.txt generated from the Help> Save System Info menu by dragging and dropping the whole .txt file into the comment field ( do not paste it's contents directly in the comment field it is difficult to read and breaks up the formatting).

For some further reading about how to attach files to reports check the link here:
https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Doc/Process/Bug_Reports (under the Appending files to the report section)

As Blender 2,79, the system-info.txt provides a list of enabled add-ons. Checking the list you can see what add-ons are registered in the User Preferences /Start-up blend files.

No news since over a week, archiving for now, this is not a Blender anyway. And we do not handle user support on this tracker, only bug reports. User forums like blenderartists.org or blender.stackexchange.com should be used for that matter.
