Short description of error: Box select as well as lasso select don't work at all. Went to many forums and Blender Help, Results conclude by many: There is a BUG to be fixed.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

I tried everything. It will not select. Even in wireframe, edit. Limit visibility is off. Please help. I had just downloaded this newest version. Don't know coding etc.

Please follow our submission template and guidelines and make a complete, valid bug report, with required info, precise description of the issue, precise steps to reproduce it, small and simple .blend and/or other files to do so if needed, etc.
