Short description of error
Add-on doesn't work in 2.80 or 2.81. When I click File->Import or File->Export, it only lets me choose Collada or Alembic.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Enable add-on. Select an object and click File->Import or File->Export.

We need more details.
When you say " it only lets me choose Collada or Alembic", do you mean the other options are not being displayed?
Yes, these are the only 2 options available.

I cannot reproduce it. Can you see if there is anything in your console? "Window > Toggle System Console".
The OBJ addon is enabled by default (among many of other I/O addons).
So please try with File → Defaults → Load Factory Settings to see if you still can reproduce this issue.
Hi, it seems to be working now. I must have been using an older build, but it's working fine with the official release of 2.81.
