Short description of error
If you are in edit mode, hide the object you are editing, add an object, then try to modify the added object... Blender segfaults.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Start with default file ("default cube").
Enter edit mode (I did this by hitting Tab).
Hide the cube (click the relevant eye icon in the Scene Collection).
Insert a cube (I did this via the Shift-A menu) -- note that the cube is not visible (this is expected).
Expand the "Add cube" dialog in the bottom-left.
Adjust the size.

Blender will now segfault.blender.crash.txt

Confirmed that it's fixed in 2.83-189e96ba687c on Linux. 👍
