I can confirm that the latest version 2.4.1 of this add-on, as above mentioned, works fine in both 2.83.18 and 2.93.5.

Hi!

I'm the (somewhat absent) developer of Material Utilities!
I've fixed the issues that were reported about compatibility with Blender 3.x, and as far as I can tell there are no other problems with this add-on and 3.x. (v2.4.2, on GitHub)

Due to personal issues I am not able to actively develop the add-on (As I regard it currently it's "feature complete" and only needs to receive bug fixes), I might be able to address bug-fixes when they arise, but I would like to see someone else join and help maintain it.

I hope that this can keep being included with the Blender releases (and it being the latest version)

(When it was added last time it was done by/via Meta-Androcto)

The repository in Blender still points to version 2.2.0 :\ ({https://developer.blender.org/diffusion/BA/browse/master/materials_utils/init.py})

Does version 2.4.2 have important fixes that should be included in Blender?

@ChristopherHindefjord, do you have commit rights to the addons repository? Otherwise, you could make a patch with the necessary updates to apply in Blender (https://developer.blender.org/differential/diff/create/)

@mano-wii An update is definitely necessary as the current version has significant issues #100387. A quick look at the source code suggests that the updated version fixes them, but I have not had time to test it though.

It seems all ok.
