Short description of error
I use meta-rig.
If deleted a heel. (R or L), I can't generate rig.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Add a meta-rig
Go to Edit Mode
Find and delete any heel. bone
Exit Edit Mode
Try to Generate Rig

I cann't "generate rig" in bones.

Finally I use meta-rig.
And I find a bug, I cann't deleted "heel. R/L". If Ideleted "heel. R/L", I cann't generate rig.

I many modification in meta-rig. If I klick "generate rig". And Blender said "Rigify error".

I think this is intended since rigify needs the heel bone in order to generate a the leg.

After the generation the heel bone is not turned into a Deform bone, instead its used to define the pivot of the feet.
Its a requirement to generate a leg https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/addons/rigging/rigify/rig_types/limbs.html#limbs-leg.
