hi, many years ago i wrote an addon to import/export MS3D - MilkShape 3D files for blender 2.6 .. 2.79.
the addon was broken with blender 2.80.
now i found the time to port the addon up to blender 3.2 (will also work in 2.80+).
the description of the addon is mainly the same as the old one ...
Import-Export/MilkShape3D_MS3D
... with the exception that i have to manage the export of animation to MS3D.
so i disabled that feature for the moment.
it would be nice to re-add the addon to the current blender addons again.
i will port the documentation when you tell me where to do it and when i have the permission to do it.

Good to see the maintenance of older addons active again :)
Until a reviewer is appointed, I recommend reading the Submitting an Add-on for a smoother process.
sorry for the very long absence. :/
in case it will be committed to the reposity, would it be of interest to restore and commit the old version of the addon (v2.72.2) first before the new port (v3.2.0) will be commited...
for history purpose only, to see/remember what is changed in which way.
there was the last residence of the old version before it was deleted finally: https://developer.blender.org/rBAC9471003d948b7c06d82d338b58e99a74b76ec922
Curious @beta-tester if there is any updates on your MS3D add-on for newer Blender. I'm happy to donate to any cause or such to support your efforts. Ideally getting the full functionality of working with import-export of MS3D files for Future Pinball modeling.
@Mark-Rideout sorry for my late response.
i am not able to use blender anymore, because i don't have any computer that servers the hardware requirements of blender 4.1
and i guess i lost my privileges to commit blender community add-ons over time.
PS.: where did the Future Pinball community move to after GoPinball and PinSimDB gave up?
and are all its tables and add-ons still available somewhere?
Dang it. Ok. I certainly appreciate your contributions to this in the past.
FP community is now at Pinball Nirvana. Shiva's pinball site.
