System Information
Operating system: MacOS Big Sur
Graphics card: Mac Mini M1 16GB

Blender Version
Broken: 3.3.0 Alpha Apple Silicon Universal-Scene-Description
(example: 2.79b release)
(example: 2.80, edbf15d3c044, blender2.8, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
I installed the Blender Studio blender_svn add-on, and saved a .blend file into a directory that is part of a Subversion repository. The 'SVN' UI panel did not appear.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
Install blender_svn add-on, then save a .blend file in a directory that is part of a Subversion repository. The Blender UI should change to include a 'SVN' tab on the right of the viewport, but no change occurs.

Just to double check, did you enable the add-on after installing it? If yes, can you check if there are any errors when opening Blender from the terminal when you try to navigate to the SVN tab?

I enabled it in the Preferences/Add-ons window. (Had to re-zip the folder on the Mac so the Blender installer could see the expected zip file. )

I set up the Mac build to start up with a console window, and rebooted the machine, and the SVN panel is appearing. Go figure. I'm not sure which of those two did the trick; guessing it was the reboot.

I'll start working with it. Thanks!

An update -- the SVN Files window shows up, but I never see the window show up with a file tree, as shown in the video:

In this case, I'm considering the issue resolved then, although we don't know really the cause.

The other questions seem to be support requests so I suggest try one of the community websites: https://www.blender.org/community/

Please look at the most recent note -- the SVN tab shows up, but I never see a window show up with the file tree as in the example video.

This isn't resolved yet.

This file explorer was most likely opened using a shortcut of the desktop environment, it is not related to the add-on.
