System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.22621-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 456.71
Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.4.1, branch: blender-v3.4-release, commit date: 2022-12-19 17:00, hash:
blender/blender@55485cb379
Worked: unknown.
Short description of error
The tooltip describes the names of the folders that must be present in an alternate scripts directory, but one of the names is wrong: it says "add-ons" instead of the correct "addons", which will make the feature not work.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the Preferences panel, select the File Paths tab, and hover the cursor over the Scripts field.

Thank you for the report.
I can confirm that the tooltip describes subdirectory names, but the "add-ons" subdirectory does not exist.
It changed in blender/blender@e2a411570e
