Short description of error
The Use Linear Modifiers section merely states:

Calculate modifiers in linear space instead of sequencer space.

This tells the user of Blender, the reader of the manual next to nothing at all. What IS "linear space", what IS "sequencer space"? What will this setting actually do, why is it there, why use it or not?
