Short description of error
The first "NOTE" block in the page is written erroneously. I posted a screenshot below. It says view port rendering only works in Workbench and Eevee and does not work in Cycles. This is an obvious typo to new users.

Real Example:

As I was attempting to figure out why my CTRL-B function was not working to block out my viewport rendering, I was finding nothing I did worked even though I was using Eevee. I then switched to Workbench. This was worse so I went back to Eevee and when that didn't work I went online searching for videos explaining how to perform CTRL B properly in 3D Viewport Editor. All the videos I found did not explain the manual was incorrect and that only Eevee uses this feature. I was only made aware when i found an artist at BA who had the same problems. Here is the link to that:

https://blenderartists.org/t/render-region-not-working-at-all/1365503/2

I, of course, then changed to Cycles Render and viola! the CTRL-B function worked perfectly. Please update this "NOTE" in the manual. It is obvious others are getting confused by it. And thank you so much for all your hard work!

Your friend,

Faith Denham. :D

That page is in fact correct. It talks about the Viewport Render feature, which is activated through the menu "View -> Viewport Render Image." It works for Workbench and EEVEE but not for Cycles, just as the documentation states.

The Ctrl-B shortcut you mention is part of a different feature, namely render regions. For that one, it's indeed the other way around: works for Cycles (where it's most useful), but not for EEVEE. Except in this case, there's no note at all.

I'll add a note to the Render Region page as well.
