Short description of error
Manual - Editors/Settings/Preferences link leads to User Preferences. Which is irritating since it is a sub point in the Editors section. So i would expect to have a document open up here. Instead the link leads me to the master category User Preferences.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps
Then click at the menu item Preferences in the Settings category. It will not open a document, but jump to the category User Preferences.

I don't see any reason on why this would be an issue. The other editor links also go to an index and not a file.

Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
We could move preferences into editors however this isn't a bug or error in the documentation.
closing.
