Thanks for the report. This is actually expected, since the bounding box node doesn't work on instances. (That's so we can make it output instance domain attributes in the future, and to be consistent with instance handling in other nodes).
However, I noticed the manual isn't totally clear about this, especially how it relates to the vector outputs, so I'll keep this task as a todo for that.
Okay! Just looks very weird as bboxes for instances work properly.
