Regression: crash when render finishes #100049

System Information
Operating system: Windows 11 64-Bit
Graphics card: Nvidia RTX 3060Ti

Blender Version
Broken: 3.2.0, 08-Jun-2022 12:14 | 3.2.1, 06-Jul-2022 10:08
Worked: 3.1.2, 01-Apr-2022 08:16

Blender will crash when render in either Eevee or Cycles finishes. Render will continue, for example when samples are set at 9999, it will render all the way to 9999. But as soon as the render finishes, Blender will immediately crash and close.

  1. Open included .blend file
  2. Render (not viewport render)
  3. Blender Crashes

I have tried deleting all object, changing rendering setting, samples. It looks like it's memory related, specifically a pointer problem as seen in the stack trace. This is the last thing called.

Freestyle::FEdgeInternal::SVertexIterator::operator*

Render according to log shows it finishes, but Freestyle is causing issue. Log files will be attached.

Looks like 277fa2f441 accidentally broke the following code path:

SEQ_channels_displayed_get(ed); is called before checking for null a few lines later inside SEQ_get_topmost_sequence
