Auto-Masking via Normals crashes Blender when used with Color/Cloth Filter #101465

Short description of error
This is related to the newly added auto-masking features for sculpt mode.
When using the newly added "View Normal" or "Area Normal" auto-masking features together with the Color or Cloth Filter in sculpt mode, it will immediately crash Blender.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Enter sculpt mode
  • Use Alt A to enable "View Normal" or "Area Normal" auto-masking
  • Make the Color or Cloth FIlter Tool active in the toolbar
  • Click & drag in the viewport
