Blender Version

b292cfe5a9
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
Blender is reporting no camera when attempting to render which is untrue.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The aim is to composite two scenes using Cycles (scene 1) and Eevee (scene 2).
The first scene will no longer render, even when an additional camera is added to the scene and set to be the camera for the scene (control numpad 0).
I attempted to reproduce the problem with a default project, but was unable to.
Dyson Sphere Camera Problem.zip
Simply attempt to render an image in the Scene labelled (Dyson Sphere) and the error message arises. I am assuming the only way to resolve this is to reconstruct the blend file entirely.

Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Needs User Info'
Seems like somehow the camera got "cut" from the
Eevee
scene (instead of being copied from there?)If I switch to the Eevee scene and also set
Camera.002
as the camera there, I can get it to render properlyDoes this work for you?
(still a bit weird why the error message refers to the
Dyson Sphere
scene - and not theEevee
one...)Changed status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Confirmed'
So code in
check_valid_camera
also goes tocheck_valid_compositing_camera
(which checks the renderlayer nodes for respective cameras). If
check_valid_compositing_camera
doesnt find such a camera, it will still report the scene in which the compositing tree resides (and not the scene that might actually miss the camera)This is not totally wrong strictly speaking, but the error message can definitely be improved to avoid confusion.
Will put on my desk.
