The 3d cursor looks very dim on AMD cards with the Mesa driver. #103864

System Information
Operating system: Gentoo Linux
Graphics card: AMD Vega64

Blender Version
Broken: All current Blender versions (2.93 to 3.5)

Short description of error
The 3D cursor in the viewport seems to be drawn with transparency.
However this is only an issue on AMD cards it seems.
It started happening 4-5 months ago, so this is most certainly a driver issue.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the default cube scene and observe that the 3D cursor looks very dim:

This might be the antialiasing? Was looking for viewport drawing errors and this doesn't seem to be the same cause as those recent intel iGPU ones...

It must be the line drawing not supporting wide lines anymore.

Maybe we can add this driver to use our geometry shader workaround for wide line support.

Here using glLineWidth>1 only gives me a Deprecated Behaviour report, and it is supposedly still in as of GL 4.6... Maybe we could check with GL_ALIASED_LINE_WIDTH_RANGE and see 🤔 .
