Short description of error
BMW scene goes from 23 seconds on 3.4.1 -> 30 seconds on 3.5 on an Arc A770 16GB
Maybe something BVH related? Optix does its own thing with BVH generation but oneAPI still uses the CUDA-like generation on host ... ? (guessing randomly)
It would be nice to get a CUDA (not Optix) comparison on an nvidia card...mine is busy testing another bug...

Sure, @brecht , I will take a look - but so far it looks like it will be resolved by D16984.

https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/blender-3.5.0-alpha+master.0ad4d07f10e2-windows.amd64-release.zip is the first build with windows compiler 101.4032.
On my A750, I confirm it brings back bmw27 to the same render time as 3.4.
