(NOTE) This task is part of the community & sub tasks of the workboard. Anyone is free to pick up this task and contribute. For any questions or needed reviewers, please tag @JosephEagar and @JulienKaspar.

Based on issue shown in #106016.

There are two modal shortcuts that are not mentioned in the status bar when using the sculpt.dyntopo_detail_size_edit operator with the Detailing setting set to 'Constant' or 'Manual'.

  • SHIFT: Precision Mode
  • CTRL: Sample Detail Size

These two shortcuts should be mentioned here so users can discover them.

I would like to pick up this issue. This is my first time contributing here and I might need a bit extra time to get familiar with the process. I would appreciate any help, thanks :)

Update: Hi @JulienKaspar which part of the interface is the status bar in the question?

I thought it is the bar at the bottom of the window, but when I try to edit detail size (or 'Resolution' in 'Constant' Detailing setting), my status bar only shows information for three keys (screenshot attached), which is different from the screenshot you attached.

@Tianhui-Huang You are right, the status bar is at the bottom.
The operator mentioned in this task is commonly executed with the shortuct R when dyntopo is enabled.
While in this modal operator, the status bar will show related shortcuts.

Hi @JulienKaspar I was able to add the missing info to the status bar in my own build. However I also saw there are some translation files. Do I need to modify those files as well (I only know English and Chinese)? Please see screenshots attached.

I asked in the blender.chat:

translations are handled by the translators. It's a separate process from English manual writing, there is no requirement re. translations when updating the English manual.

So no need to worry about it.

Great, thank you so much! I've submitted a pull request last week. Please let me know if there's anything else I should do to conclude this issue
