Worked: Unsure
Short description of error
Baking to Active Color Attribute crashes Blender with an error of
EXCEPTION_INT_DIVIDE_BY_ZERO
in the terminalExact steps for others to reproduce the error
Blend File with all this setup: bake_to_vcols_bug.blend
Crash Log: bake_to_vcols_bug.crash.txt
Can't reproduce this issue.
Hi, thanks for the report. Unable to confirm either in 3.5
Please check whether this happens after factory reset:
File > defaults > Load Factory Settings
If crash persists, try with
-t 1
command line argument.Okay I tried it on a factory reset scene and it worked.
Discovered it's only when I have GPU rendering turned on that it crashes. Both CUDA and OPTIX.
Upgraded the Nvidia drivers. Now on Studio Driver v531.41 released 03/21/2023.
It still crashes even with the -t 1 command line argument after upgrading drivers.
HOWEVER, it does not crash if I only use 1 of my GPUs instead of both! So for some reason enabling 2 GPUs for rendering eventually tries to divide by 0 when baking to vertex colors.
Attaching crash log if that helps.
Bake to Color Attribute Crashes Blender with Divide by Zero Errorto Dual GPU - Bake to Color Attribute Crashes Blender with Divide by Zero ErrorCan't reproduce with GPU+CPU option.. @brecht can you check?
Opening this again as I have exactly the same problem using Blender 4.2.3LTS
Using one GPU no problem - both - instant crash
Using Optix, but also crashes using CUDA and x2 GPU's selected.

Nvidia RTX 2070
Nvidia RTX 2060 Super
