tested on Blender 3.4 and 3.5 on windows 10.
The file is just 2MB file, it's two slow.
imported into meshlab or other 3d softwares are quickly.
Hi, thanks for the report. While we do continue to work on improving performance in general, potential performance improvements are not handled as bug reports.
For more information on why this isn't considered a bug, visit: https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Reference/Not_a_bug
What is slow? It took about 2 seconds here. What is your hardware(CPU)?
It's true, that performance issues are not a bug, but if you can provide steps to reproduce slow behavior (with normally fast file), we can reopen.
@iss OK, might different enviroment problem, in my i7-7700k,windows 10,unlike other similar fbx with the same file size, it cost me several minuites.
Your CPU should handle this well. Even single thread performance is on par with my CPU, so I don't think this is an issue. But still looks like issue on your end. Perhaps the file is on some slow(network) drive or antivirus software could interfere... Not even sure what to check. Perhaps try with alpha build from https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/ and run file
blender_factory_startup.cmd
The problem, is I can import other fbx files like 2mb size, 200mb, into blender quickly. So I guess some checking about the fbx decrease the import speed.
The fbx may have some missing textures, because when I import it into ue5, I found there is a dialog pop-up.
In alpha version, it still cost cpu, but only 25-40% about. @iss
cost me 1-2 minutes.
I know this file has many resources unlike a single mesh with one material, but this is a small model exported from game, I'm afraid if a 200MB might cost me 2hour's just to import, that's terrible to modify the scene.
