Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Operating system: Windows 10
Tested on two machines
Blender Version: 3.5, 3.6
Animating a value (scene time or keyframing) which is converted to string and then curves creates instances which don't always display in renders, and sometimes multiple instances spawn at the same spot (overlap).
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
a. Scene Time: Frame.
b. Add 1000000 (to increase the number of digits).
c. Value To String.
d. String to Curves.
e. Fill Curve.
f. Group Output.
And to make the testing faster:
testing just now I got ~8 frames with issues for 250 rendered frames.
Hello, i can't reproduce this:
I tested it with PNG series (can easily spot missing digits on thumbnails), but now I also tested on MP4 and still the bugged frames are clearly visible. The error comes from a person I met on Discord, so it shouldn't be hardware specific issue… Though since it's a heisenbug, maybe some people won't get it anyway.
Hi, still can't reproduce the problem. Can check:
What GPU do you have?
Are you checking for the latest blender version?
Also: I don't have motion blur at all. This is due to the fact that this is an animated geometry.

I downloaded daily 3.6α yesterday before posting the issue.

Issue is more visible when rendering PNG images.

Potentially, persistent data + instances random moving is there. I still can't reproduce, but it look really same.
