System Information
Operating system: macOS 13.3.1(a)
Graphics card: Apple M1 Max

Blender Version
Broken: 3.5.1
Worked: not 100% may have been pre 3

File dialogues open blank, the only fix is to restart Blender as seen here #102677 (comment) and macOS: Slowdown/crashes/ empty windows when using Sidecar feature with iPad #85394

For me it manifests in the main open file dialogue after opening, editing, saving and then opening a new file 4-5 times.

Running Blender from the command line I sometimes get no output in the terminal when this happens, just a blank file browser.

This is official version and experimental but I have not (yet) tried with a 3.6 build.

I originally thought it was a result of using the then experimental metal backend but can confirm this happens with OpenGL or Metal set as as GPU backend.

I have though had this occur in terminal

Then after about a minute the browser did draw

(Opening as new issue since the one of the above has been closed)
