Short description of error
When the properties window is floated the modifier selection menu gets cut off

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Shift click-drag the corner of an area type to float the properties area.
Go to modifiers select a modifier menu is cut off.

That's probably a limitation of the UI menu implementation where it doesn't really handle a panel that's wider than the window.

It might be possible for the menu call to list entries vertically based on the width of the window tho

The UI is directly handled by uiItemsFullEnumO_items and it doesn't seems possible to let it decide whether to use new columns based on width of the content and window width.

We may hear some inputs from the UI guys

Closing as this report no longer applies to current code.

First, we did merge #105386 so the old "Add Modifier" menu - if it were the same today - would not collapse into single usable column when the width of the window is narrow. So that is just fixed.

But we have also changed the type of the "Add Modifier" menu to work like a regular menu, so it always works now in narrow windows anyway.
