System Information
Operating system: macOS ventura 13.2.1
Graphics card: M2-MAX GPU (on the MacBook)

Blender Version
Broken: Blender 3.4 and newer
Worked: Blender 3.3.7

Short description of error

When I enable inverse kinematics limit x/y/z then the limit guide shapes are drawn as straight edges as shown in the image. It is expected to be just a red circle.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on factory settings:

  1. Create an armature.
  2. Enter pose mode.
  3. Enable limit x on the Inverse Kinematics panel.

Now the guide shape is drawn but its completely distorted.

BTW: On Windows-11 All Blender versions work correct.

I can not reproduce this in 4.0, it seems it already fixed? Can you check newes blender versions?

I checked 3.6.0(beta), 4.0.0(Alpha) and I built current master. All versions show the same issue on my MacBook. Then I installed a new clean Ventura-13.2.1 and only loaded the Blender versions into that clean system. I always see the same broken limit lines.

What else can I check?

I can have a look into this, able to reproduce.

Appears to be caused by out of bounds vertex buffer read:

[GPUDebug] Invalid device load executing vertex function "vertex_function_entry_overlay_armature_dof_wire" encoder: "10", draw: 4, at offset 8469008448

Likely incorrectly bound vertex buffer or descriptor.
