Short description of error
I placed text in front of a GP object, and i even set the GP drawing from 2D to 3D, but still the render differs from the viewport: the text is covered by the GP strokes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the file and press f12. Then press (view)→(viewport render image).
Compare both.

Can confirm that the text is rendering behind the grease pencil.

However, it seems that this problem can to be resolved by enabling Passes->Data->Z and render, this way grease pencil is composited with Z information.

This does seems a bit unintuitive tho.

Commit 646f7ef73c disabled Z pass by default, so for GP to be sorted correctly, you will have to enable Z manually. So will close the issue since it's not a bug.
