Operating system: Windows 10 Lite by Den (21H2 Version)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 3.6.0, 2023-07-02, found when mesh selected in Edit Mode)
Worked: (I didn't download another version)

Short description of error
When I select mesh vertices in edit mode then Generated Texture Coordinate doesn't paint mesh in object mode, but when I don't select mesh vertices in edit mode then Generated Texture Coordinate paints mesh in object mode.
Why does simply selecting vertices affect the coloring of a mesh with a Generated Texture Coordinate?

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Firstly:
Create a material for the mesh. In Shading, add only two nodes, Texture Coordinate and Material Output for created material. Connect the output from the Generated (Texture Coordinate) to the input of the Surface (Material Output). Delete the rest of the nodes except Texture Coordinate and Material Output.
Secondly:
Select the mesh you created the material for, select it and choose Edit Mode. Now select all the vertices of the mesh and select Object Mode.

After completing these two steps, your mesh should be colored black.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue here. Can you try running the blender_debug_gpu.cmd script from your Blender installation and upload the resulting files when finished.

Could be an effect of outdated GPU/GPU drivers.
The GPU mentioned in the report is unsupported. 6900 series has old Terascale 3 architecture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon_HD_6000_series#Radeon_HD_6900
While minimum requirement for AMD GPU is GCN 1 & newer architecture: https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/
