Short description of error
I use a dual monitor setup. When I click into the monitor that does not have blender loaded and then back into the one with blender its fine, but if I have any kind of selection tool selected and accidentally click and drag when clicking back into blander, it crashes. Not sure why this happened. I have already attempted to troubleshoot. I downloaded it from the snap store and ran sudo snap refresh to make sure it was updated. I also ran apt update and apt upgrade just in case those had any effect. It may be possible that it is also only a problem when downloaded from the snap store. Further troubleshooting will need to include building it and running it normally and potentially running blender on windows to see if it is only on ubuntu.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Download Blender from the snap store on Ubuntu 22.04 on a machine with multiple monitors. Open a new standard blender window on one screen and any other tab on another. With the selection tool selected click out of the main blender window onto the other monitor. Then click and drag on the blender window.

Ubuntu Crashes When Clicking into it from another window and dragging.to Ubuntu Blender Crashes When Clicking into it from another window and dragging.Happens to me using blender in wsl2, but can't tell if is the same issue, can be driver issue due wsl2

Edit: found that the selection is out of bounds
I am not sure what wsl2 is but it sounds similar to a virtual machine. How much ram do you have. I am thinking that this may be related to memory somehow. Sometimes when it happens I get an application not responding window which usually appears when an application doesnt have enough memory when using ubuntu

Note, this is fixed by #109834 however we might still want to handle failure to create a texture gracefully - without crashing.
