Short description of error
GPU Out of Memory in cycles with a simple scene one object and one Sun Light
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Switch to render mode
Navigate in the scene in rendered mode changing the view, after some pan and zoom the error gpu memory error is showed and blender crash.
Same scene in blender 3.3.8 is working fine.
Blender 3.6.0 is using 11.55 GB of Memory
Blender 3.3.8 is using 566 MB of Memory with the same scene in rendered mode.
Hi, thanks for the report. Do you run out of memory during final render (cmd f12)?

Hi, running out of memory is only in the view port with Metal viewport backend and more than one GPU Selected, enabling OpenGL in version 3.6.0 it works as expected with more than 1 GPU.
More testing with Metal viewport Backend with only one GPU Selected blender did not run out of memory in the viewport.
No due date set.
