Short description of error
When modeling, often crash like every 10-15minutes.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
Hi, thanks for the report. I suspect this is same as #100620
Can you confirm?
Also check whether crash is replicable without GPU Subdivision:
Edit > Preferences > Viewport > Subdivision > GPU Subdivision
@PratikPB2123 Hi, thanks for reply. I tried without GPU Subdivision. Crash again. Doesn't work :/
Thanks. Could you share .blend file and narrow down the problem (identify the conditions for crash)?
Does it crash after executing certain operation? or when particular shading mode is active?
Call stack is different this time (crashed in
polyfill_prepare
).@PratikPB2123 Thank you, this is my blender file.
@PratikPB2123 Crashes whenever join meshes this time.
Thanks, which objects? I'm not able to confirm the crash so far.
I tried to join meshes Cube.022, Cube.047, Cube.049 .
It happened on Blender version 3.4.1, but version 3.6.1 is alright.
Can replicate that 3.4.1 crashes on join, but 3.6 and 4.0 is alright here, with nvidia k5100m, with GPU subdiv.
Thanks @ChengduLittleA , I did not notice 3.6 is working version for @Emma-24 :)
Crash is same as mentioned in #107647
3.4 version has been archived and won't receive any bug fixes in future.
Closing.
