Short description of error
My Environment Texture disappears when rendering. In the world material the Color field is getting reset from Environment Texture to default RGB value.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the bug.blend file and hit F12. The world material the Color field will be automatically changed from Environment Texture to default RGB value
Hi, thanks for the report. I'm not able to confirm this. Color field is same in UI and shader also gave correct result in final render.
Could you try factory reset?:
File > Defaults > Load Factory Settings
Hi, thanks for the tip. Loading the factory settings actually did the trick, it works as expected again. However, this never happened in a previous Blender version.
Thanks. Maybe due to interference of some add-on (or some other preference). Could you find out the culprit add-on?
Closing.
Hello @PratikPB2123 , I have a question. Even though you were correct with your comment that a factory reset might help, I am continuously encountering this issue in different circumstances. I script extensively in Blender and the problem of my environment map suddenly disappearing recurs frequently. The most recent instance occurred while I was doing cloth simulation. I experimented and found that every time I simulate the first frame, the World Material resets to default. Loading factory settings provides a temporary fix, but I believe that there's a persistent issue with the environment map mechanism. This problem never occurred in earlier versions of Blender, leading me to believe it's a bug. Since you closed my previous report, I'm wondering, should I resubmit this as a bug?
Best regards
