System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19045-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Quadro RTX 3000 with Max-Q Design/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 536.67

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.6.1 Release Candidate, branch: blender-v3.6-release, commit date: 2023-07-16 02:43, hash: edc1a09966a7
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
If you have linked and overriden an object from a file and you then remove that object from the original file, you only get a text pop up in the linked file telling you to check the Outliner for details, but there's no option to filter for broken links in the Outliner, and the icon will only show the overriden one. You need to clear the override for the broken icon to show up, and you don't know which ones are broken before you clear them. The "external data" menu also has no option for cleaning up missing links.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Link some objects from a file.
  2. Make library overrides for those objects.
  3. Remove one of those objects from the original file.
  4. Attempt to identify in the Outliner which link is missing

Result:

Outliner still shows only overriden icon.

Expected:

Outliner should show the broken icon.
