Blender card only showing a default cube when open even the file size is 100 mb #110850

I am working on a blender file on my pc . The file size is almost 100mb . I saved the file. But when i opened it again the file is just showing a single default cube. No layers no anything. Just default interface. My file was just having the room interface . It consists of some free models also which i downloaded from the internet. Like free 3d website like sketchfab.
This thing happened with me 1 week ago. But then i made the file again and get my pc hard disk and windows changed. And now it happened with me again. I dont know what to do. Please tell me what to do to recover my file and to prevent this issue next time.

i was able to recover it through .blender1 format but still i know this will happen again. please guide me on this, i have not added anything in my addons also

blender 3.6 version
graphic card 750 Ti
Windows 10
new hardrive of 250 gb

Hi @Rafia-Kashif , could you share the "supposedly broken" blend file that when you open you only see default cube? Also when it happens, the broken file is still 100 MB big?

yes exactly. also the file was then unable to upload on my drive. the pc i am woking is consist of only my project files. it totally reset and in new condition . is there anyway that i can see whether which of model i have added in my file is causing the issue ?

Culprit here could be an add-on or file is corrupted.
No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.
