Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
(after enabling it in the preferences/experimental)
open blender, switch render engine to eevee next, switch viewport shading to Material Preview or Rendered - crash!
Freestyle::FEdgeInternal::SVertexIterator::operator*
crashed here, seems kinda unusual. Also unable to reproduce on a fresh file. Could you give us the file that caused the crash? Thanks!It crashes on the default scene. No extra file used.
EEVEE next is still under development so it maybe too early to report a bug?

Yes Eevee-next is still in development. Still it would be important to know the system info, so we can keep an eye for configurations that currently don't work. Having more people testing and experimenting is appreciated
@Jeroen-Bakker In one week or two ago it was working fine (it's a laptop).
I suspect the crash was introduced when workbench-next was enabled by default? 🤔

This issue fixed itself, probably due to the latest eevee-next commits.
But now, it's the regular eevee that is crashing. I made a separate report #111960
