Short description of error
Node groups with virtual input sockets, converted from earlier versions or created programmatically I suppose, prevents loading blend file in Blender 4.0 and above (tested 4.1 alpha as well).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The provided crash.blend file contains a minimal example that works in Blender 3.6.4, but fails to load in Blender 4.0 and up. The virtual sockets have been created by an addon named scattershot since I don't know how to create them through the UI. Stack trace is shown below.
