System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.22000-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.6.0 NVIDIA 536.67

Blender Version
Broken: version: 4.1.0 Alpha, branch: main, commit date: 2023-10-12 23:57, hash: c0333b811e19
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Duplicate node and duplicate linked node menu item no difference,
I remember when press Alt+D is take out the selected node and keep the line still connected in many years ago (about one or two years : )
So press shift+D and alt + D no difference for now. and can't assign shortcut retrieve the take out node function.
I know press alt + LMB is working well for now. just can't stand two menu items that do the same thing for a long time.

BTW, alt+LMB drag just detach one node of selected, but the previous alt+D can detach all the nodes of selected.

These operators are only different when duplicating group nodes.

Tested, but can't see any difference.

Hi, thanks for the report!

Tested, but can't see any difference.

By default "Copy on Duplicate" is disabled for node trees, so both the normal "Duplicate" and the "Duplicate Linked" operator will do the same thing (that is keeping the current node tree in the group and increasing the user count).

To see the difference you have to go into the Preferences > Editing > Copy on Duplicate and tick the checkbox for "Node Tree".

That being said from the description in your report I wonder if you might be talking about the node links being preserved when duplicating node.

That is done via Ctrl + Shift + D.

Is that the functionality you're looking for?

@lone_noel
Got it. thanks.
I'm look for detach function alt+D in Blender 3.3. detach all selected nodes.
Forget it, I've lost the muscle habit of pressing alt+D since 3.3.
Maybe shift+alt+D by node wrangler more like that for now.
BTW, I'd like to use the default factory settings, so the default setting is very important.

I just get back the detach function, remap keyboard alt + D by node.move_detach_links identifier.

From above comments, this doesn't seem ascbug. Closing.
